Marketing & Event Coordinator
Marketing and fitness actually have a lot in common… I know, I know, bear with me…
Persistence, dedication, and self-discipline allow you to achieve the best results. Which makes a Marketing Coordinator position for a health and fitness company a great combo!
Having a keen interest and knowledge of sports and fitness is going to make your life a lot easier, as this is what you will be talking about, day in, day out. There is of course fantastic training and support – but fundamental knowledge of fitness equipment and the gym world would be great. I mean, you should know what a gym looks like. The name, at least, should ring a (dumb)bell. Terrible.
Your day to day will see you partnering with the Marketing Director to create and execute marketing plans, strategies and initiatives; whilst working very closely with the sales team at all times to ensure everything is aligned.
If you’re looking to make some proper progress into a Marketing Manager role within the next 18 months, then this is the best position in the whole wide world for you, because this company genuinely wants to invest time and effort into getting you there.
You should be the type of person who recognises that the working day doesn’t always finish at 5pm. I, myself, have been known to work till 5:06 some days because I’m a team player. You see, in this role you’ll be working closely with the team in the states, so a bit of flexibility is required.. You’ll also get the opportunity to travel around the world, with upcoming events taking place in Germany, USA and Dubai.
Do you speak more than one language? Do you have experience with Adobe or Illustrator? Do you have experience with managing ads and writing press releases or you’ve been involved with events? If you do, first of all, well done, second of all, that will be hugely advantageous to you getting this role.
You’ll need to be within a commutable distance to the head office in High Wycombe for this hybrid role, which will require 2/3 days in the office per week and you will get a basic salary of up to £35k.
Creating and maintaining a dynamic culture is challenging, but it can and is being done with these guys. They have a speak up employment survey, with year-on-year improvements. It’s the kind of place I would like to work.
