We are looking for a business development manager for a business that has achieved explosive growth in their first year, which has received acclaim from their peers in the industry (exhibition) and is being noticed by the media!

Headed up by vastly experienced directors who have taken brands from start-ups to some of the most recognisable in the UK – you are in safe hands and have amazing opportunity to absorb their knowledge like a sponge.

You are going to be someone who has proven experience selling exhibition stands to large-scale, high-profile events. You understand the pitching process, the sales cycle and complexities selling this proposition can have.

You’re going to be someone who is very commercially astute and can spot opportunities beyond the obvious. You’ll spend a lot of time speaking to decision makers (CMO’s, Marketing Directors etc.) so being able to understand needs beyond the immediate, is super important.

The majority of your work will be done via e-mail, phone and via video – so someone who has adapted to this ‘new’ way of selling is extremely important – but you will also attend events and shows where you will walk the floor, meet prospects and use your advanced conversational skills to identify business opportunities.

They invest in high quality data to support your sales activity, but how you manage and use that is down to your expertise.

There is really positive approach to hybrid and flexible working here. It’s accepted that different people thrive in different environments, so you will be supported and encouraged to work in an environment that facilitates that. Their office is just north of Birmingham and you will need to be in commuting distance of that, as you will need to attend the office for meetings/work.

From a salary perspective, you are looking at between £28,000 and £36,000 as a base with an uncapped commission structure which is paid on monthly.
