New Business Manager

YOU Exclusive
Are you a real people person?
Like genuinely, a proper people person. Someone people trust, enjoy working with and can make great things happen?
We are looking for a New Business Manger to join an award-winning events and engagement agency based in God’s own country, Yorkshire. Their aim is to make a real difference by delivering unique and memorable events that create real value for their clients (who span multiple sectors).
They’re excellent at what they do and already have a list of fantastic clients that love what they do, but they now want to acquire more of the right customers to help continue to deliver their purpose of making people’s lives better!
As the New Business Manager, you will take ownership of the business development and sales function of the business, working hand in hand with the MD, Head of Client Services and marketing partners to generate revenue.
This is more of a ‘farming’ than ‘hunter’ role, so we’re not looking for someone that thinks making 100 cold calls a day is the best way to win new business. We want someone that knows how to take a prospect on a journey to being a client by listening, being commercially aware and gaining their trust.
We want you to come from a sales role in a full-service event agency and understand the intricacies of what clients need and expect.
There is an incredibly progressive approach to flexible and hybrid working, so your location can be flexible, they just ask that you pop into the office a couple of times a week so you can gel with the team and learn from your colleagues. Their mission is to be renowned in the industry as the best agency to work with and work for – so it is a great place to be.
From a salary perspective you are looking at £50,000 – £60,000, plus an attractive commission scheme. There are huge amounts of other benefits which focus on personal development and wellbeing.
If you are interested or want to know more (including seeing the full client job brief), send me a message, DM, or call me – whatever is easiest. Having an up-to-date CV to hand is ideal, but if you haven’t got one immediately, we can still chat through the position, and you can learn more.
Naturally, every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there is no gender bias in our adverts.
