Head of Sales
We’re looking for a Head of Sales to join a London based events agency who create communities in the high-end travel industry that are recognised and celebrated industry-wide for their unique approach, creative flair and breaking the ‘norm’ on how this style of events should be done!
The events they run are carefully curated, imaginative, never boring, and are attended by carefully selected crowds – so you are going to have a great time being a part of it! Both the events you work on are in North America (Miami & LA) – so travelling there about 8 times a year should excite you rather than scare you.
You will lead a team of 6 through to year-on-year growth throughout the North America Events program. You’re coming in to a well-functioning and strong team of Senior Account Managers and Account Managers, so will lead by example and promote best sales practice.
It’s a fast-paced environment and we are looking for somebody who understands the luxury hospitality/travel markets. This isn’t a ‘hard sell’ close – it’s about consultative relationship building on both the buyer and supplier side of these events. You will make sure that only best in class attend whilst inspiring the team to generate sales through exhibition space, sponsorship, and advertising etc.
It’s a great chance to put your own stamp on the business and you will be given the opportunity to develop your team through strategic planning, mentorship, and feedback to promote sales for maximum growth and profitability. You will have ultimate responsibility for all elements of event sales from customer contact, business development, account management and client relationships – it’s a wide-ranging role!
We are looking for someone who has a demonstrable track record of building teams, exceeding targets and making clients happy. You will also be adept at leading by example – we don’t want someone who is just happy to put their feet up whilst the team grafts – you’ll be someone who will live the best practice that you preach.
You will only be working Monday – Thursday so can enjoy a 3-day weekend, every week! The only fixed day in the office is Monday, so can choose the other day you WFH.
From a salary perspective, you are looking at up to £70,000 per annum for the right candidate and will have access to a whole raft of other benefits including 25% discretionary annual bonus, plenty of travel opportunities and did we mention a 4-day week?
If you are interested or want to know more, call me, send me a message, DM (Sammy Barrett on LinkedIn), carrier pigeon – whatever is easiest. Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
