YOU Exclusive

We are looking for a Head of Venues to join our client, a full-service events production company we are working with!

They have a long-standing reputation of care and consideration for clients and delegates. They create live experiences that are well designed, planned and executed to a high standard that ultimately create inspiring events for all those involved.

This is a brand-new role focusing on a different area of the business to most, where you will be in a senior position with a core focus on managing, maintaining, and developing the businesses production services and venue portfolio, working alongside production managers and various other stakeholders throughout the business.

As the Head of Venues you will understand the operations, planning and pressures from working within a venue. You will be responsible for producing pitches that are tender winning worthy, nurturing current venue relationships and developing real opportunities with new venues. You are somebody who is confident and comfortable with negotiation and selling your company package.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable being client facing and someone who knows how to run a venue working within a similar role currently. You are the first person the client will buy in to and have a strong overall knowledge of production in a corporate event background that includes sets, staging and AV technology.

This is a hybrid role; however, you will be expected to be working from their Birmingham venue quite regularly. The venue holds a capacity of 1200 with a multi-functional space that flagship events can be created in.

You will need to be prepared to travel across the country visiting sites both current and new on occasion or attending their head office that is in the East Midlands. You’ll obviously need a valid driving licence for this role.

This is a full-service events agency who own all the AV kit, have in house designers, and many other project teams. You will need to have a strong understanding on spacial planning and how to utilise the multiple venues you work with, to create most memorable and meaningful events.

From a package perspective, you are looking at a base salary of between £45,000 and £50,000 (plus a new bonus scheme that is currently being created), with plenty of other benefits and training & progression opportunities throughout this ‘family feel’ company, here you will be well looked after.

If you are interested or want to know more (including seeing the full client job brief), send me a message, DM, call me – whatever is easiest. Having an up-to-date CV to hand is ideal, but if you haven’t got one immediately, we can still chat through the position, and you can learn more.

Naturally, every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there is no gender bias in our adverts.
