We’re looking for a Sustainability Specialist to join our client, who are a leading supplier of events infrastructure across the globe, turning over north of a billion pounds a year.

You are going to play a pivotal role in the sustainable operations of the business as they strive toward achieving sustainability management plans, as well as adding value to clients to help achieve their sustainability related deliverables.

As the Sustainability Specialist you will work a broad range of stakeholders, leading on ESG reporting as well as carbon management projects for events across Europe.

Working closely with Senior Members of this organisation throughout the UK and globally, you will be creating client specific plans that adds value throughout the sales and tender process through sustainability related deliverables.

We are looking for somebody with a wealth of knowledge in the sustainability field, ideally in the event sector. This won’t be your first role as a sustainability specialist, and you’ll understand the commercial restrictions you and clients work with.

This is a very client facing role and you’ll be the business representation throughout the events industry and attend activities at conferences, debates, round table discussions and sponsor events.

You will be someone who understands the dynamic of sustainability, its policies, procedures, and its risk to lead a team on cross-functional projects to reduce the carbon footprint (energy, mobility, transportation, etc.) in every project they do!

Their offices are in multiple locations across the East Midlands with their HQ being in Derbyshire, so having the ability to travel a couple of times a week is important for this role. You must have a valid UK driving licence.

Salary-wise, you will be looking at between £40,000 and £45,000, depending on your experience level alongside a discretionary performance-based bonus.
